Enter Into Holy Week

Deny yourself in the Blood of Christ crucified; drink deeply of the blood; fill yourself with the Blood; vest yourself in the Blood. If you have been unfaithful, be baptized again in the Blood; if the devil has clouded your intellectual vision, bathe your eyes in the blood; if you have been unappreciative of unrecognized gifts, be grateful in the Blood; if you have been a lax shepherd, forgetful of the rod of justice tempered with prudence, undo that in the Blood…In the heat of the Blood dissipate your tepidity. In the light of the Blood banish your darkness, so that you may be the spouse of the Truth and the true shepherd and guardian of the flock placed in your hands.

Sounds like good advice for all of us (we are all priests, prophets, kings). Thank you for sharing.

I think the Holy Spirit must have been flying around very strong today. I just got my confirmation from Fr's Blood excerpt. Today my daughter and I went to Hope Depot to buy lady bugs for my roses. As we were driving home, my 10 year old daughter asked me as she was holding the bags of live lady bugs, "do even these little bugs have blood in them." I thought for a moment and told her "all living creatures on earth have blood, and that blood is life for everything on this earth, even the tinest of bugs n this planet have blood in them, that is why Jesus gave his blood for us, but the blood of our Lord is eternal life that goes beyond our life here on the earth." My daughter just looked at me with a smile. Wow, I thought to myself, I never thought of that, where did those words come from?" And now I see Fr's blog about the blood, I think that the Blood of our Lord is what I'm supposed to focus on this weekk for Holy week. What a confirmation.

Another typo, it was Home Depot.

Typo or not, Vanessa, I prefer to thinkthat there is a "warehouse" store somewhere out there where one can get such a commodity.

Hope Depot....

Not a bad name for the Church, huh?

(No need to bring your Mastercard, Visa, AmEx, Discover... Someone Else already paid the price.)
