Will the CPPS take the lead in asking that the Feast of the Most Precious Blood with all the richness of its antiphons and responsories be restored to the Roman Calendar? How did something so enthusiastically promoted and confirmed by Blessed John XXIII in 1960 come to be suppressed in 1969? The texts of the Feast of the Most Precious Blood are among the splendours of the Roman liturgy. The time for the restoration of the Feast has come!

No really, I hate to be so ignorant, but as Don Marco asked, how did it come to be suppressed?
