Ahhhh.....

Ok, it melted my heart. Can you imagine the emotion when a 10 year old says to you, "I just want to thank you for the best confession of my life."

Every mission brings its own joys. But this one ranks up there with the best.

Even better than "the most excruciating Lent of my life." I thank God always for your gifts that enrich us, challenge us, and bring us great joy.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if I could say that EVERY time I went to confession? I know, I know, it's up to me!!

I pray he has many more "best" confessions in his life. That is at it should be.

I'll never forget the priest of my first confession when I was seven years old. I must have thought about my sins for two weeks as to what I was going to say. I went through almost every comandment. Then I got to the sixth comandment. I told Fr. Fenton that I kill snails. He let out the biggest chuckle and told me that I was saving my parents plants and it was ok. So now everytime I go out and step on a snail to save my garden I say a prayer for Fr.Fenton because at that moment I felt the kindness and love of our Lord through him. I'm sure that is what that little boy felt with Fr.Jeff today and he'll never forget you!!!
