But, Father Jeff,

It's not entirely clear that the Celtic tribal peoples of Britian (before the Romans and the Angles, the Saxons, and the Jutes) considered themselves all that separate from the Celtic tribal people of Ireland. Or of the other Celtic areas, like Less Britain on the mainland.

Their religions were the same, and the languages were close cousins.
