Lent is the time to kick the “Catholic but...”

Yes, it's cool. I wonder if many of us "ordinary" Catholics whose influence is limited to our families and close associates, don't also have our own "I'm a Catholic but...." I, for one, while reading what the officials had to say, came up with one of my own and I'm sure if I have the heart to search, I'll find more. It is a scandal that people in the public eye are cowardly in this regard. Pray for me, St. Gaspar, that I may not scandalize others.

Very cool, indeed! I used to have quite a few "I'm Catholic buts....". I will have to have some more quiet time with the Lord and see what is still lingering behind the shadows.
