I am so tired of hearing some of this stuff. This talking heads are just filling empty space. Some of it is good but then it all changes when they only tell half the story. I am so tired of hearing Benedict XVI called a hardline conservative. He is not Conservative, he is Catholic. Until the media begins to understand what it means to be Catholic, they will simply categorize the New Pope in narrow terms in an effort to prevent us from listening to what he really says.

The problem is too many journalists, too many news people with nothing to do. They must have been hoping for a prolonged conclave and now must fill the time. Gee, maybe they thought they could do exit polling and call the winner before another network did. We need to de-fund schools of journalism. They're like baseball expansion players - the talent has been diluted, and this is what we now get. But they were so good during the funeral!
Dan writes regarding the media:
"But they were so good during the funeral!"
I don't know so much about that either. I've watched the EWTN coverage on and off of John Paul II's funeral, and the Nine Days Mourning Masses. Those commentators couldn't shut their pieholes for five minutes. Something brief before each incident would have been fine, but these guys would not shut up.
VIVA IL PAPA!
Fr. Keyes writes of Benedict XVI:
"He is not Conservative, he is Catholic."
Father, if this isn't true, what isn't? You hit that right on the mark!
I laugh at the modernists at the NPMusers and other boards. One NPMer actually posted the following: "If Cardinal Ratzinger becomes Pope, I'm converting." To which I respond, "au revoir, arrivaderci, ciao, sayonara, goodbye, don't let the door kick you in the booty on your way out."
I'm happy as a piggie in the mud that we have Pope Benedict. Now maybe some REAL liturgical reform, and a little quicker than snail's pace too, will be an order.
VIVA IL PAPA!
