This world is devoid of love. We're so eager to give THINGS and get THINGS, we miss the most important - love. Love no matter what our faults, love because we are God's children. Truly sad.
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God;have faith also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am, you also may be." (John 14:1-3)
Tragically, sadly, this young lad chose to enter the Father's house before his place was ready. But surely the Lord, who numbered the hairs of his head, who called him by name, who bought him with a great price and redeemed in his Blood, will not turn him away. With pain in his heart for the way in which he came and for the suffering of his parents, family and friends, Christ will tenderly welcome this child into the eternal dwelling place with boundless mercy and immeasurable, enduring love.
I am so sorry. He and his family will be remembered in my prayers.
Yentl
A sad duty, but noble work for you in the wake of a terrible evil committed by a troubled boy.
May God have mercy on him, his family, and on all of us who mourn.
I pray that you found the words, but more that the presence of the church community was a bit of comforting in a situation where there are no words but only presence.
